I would like to warmly invite you to the exhibition “Constellation,” a unique gathering of artists whose works form a network of connections, inspirations, encounters, and shared experiences spanning generations of Czech art.

A constellation is usually understood as a group of stars that, when viewed from afar, create a meaningful pattern. In this exhibition, however, the constellation is composed not of celestial bodies, but of artworks, artistic dialogues, and personal relationships that have emerged over many years through the work and vision of Olga Buchbach Renner.

The exhibition brings together historical works and newly created pieces, creating a living conversation between continuity and change, memory and discovery. Rather than telling a linear story, it invites visitors to move freely among individual works and uncover their own connections, echoes, and points of resonance.

For me personally, it is a pleasure to be part of this constellation with my painting “Bird Signals.” Unlike the geometric works for which I am often known, this painting belongs to a more intuitive and abstract body of work. It reflects on communication, movement, and the subtle signals that shape our perception of the world, leaving space for the viewer's own interpretation.

The exhibition also carries a quiet connection to Litomyšl, the shared birthplace of my mother Olga Buchbach Renner, Bedřich Smetana and myself. As in Smetana's celebrated composition From My Life, themes return, transform, disappear, and reappear in new forms, creating a rich and layered experience rather than a straightforward narrative.
